Hi based on my experience we can't get Obamacare. It is only for LPR and Citizen. After my brief hospital stay the lady from the county hospital spoke with the insurance person and she said Sorry...can't blame them as we can't contribute much towards our taxes ...

I applied to Obamacare and they said I do not qualify as well and they did not even bother sending me denial letter.I do not have GC so How can I get Obamacare?

I have questions regarding working without work permit.If someone worked without a work permit for more than a year and she submitted her taxes for 2012 then after that she received VAWA approval and work permit because of VAWA then she is going to file new tax return this year fro 2013 including that she worked more than 9 months without a work permit,how this will affect her case before interview for green card?will the immigration ask about this in the interview?if they asked what would be her answer?

The strange thing that she worked for more than one employer who use e-verify and she entered her social and non said anything about her eligibility to work before.How is this possible?

Jessy L the l 130 petitioner is the only person allowed to withdraw form l130. There is a mistake for sure ,because once your sister filed vawa Uscis should not send any letter to the l130petitioner anymore. I recommend to go to Infopass to find out what's going on.

Hi,

I am bit nervous to say but its a good news that I got my interview date in a month time from now. Am feeling bit anxious as my Lawyer is gonna be out of country during that time and wont be accompanying me. He mentions that I should be good on my own however am feeling nervous about it. I know many people here went without Lawyer but I have always been not very confident and so am kinda freaking out. Any words of wisdom?

fancy one I have no idea how to get Obama care without being a GC holder,I just posted what 3 members from visa journey told me, they don't have GC and they got the tax credit approved,maybe some of them could post here how they got their health insurance approved.

But let me tell you something my friend in New Orleans is a green card holder, and they denied 5 times, she called 5 times and they denied saying she could not get tax credit to buy her health insurance, but considering what she makes i knew she qualified for the tax credit then I kept telling her to try again, well after filling online one night around 3am they approved, go figure...

It's illegal to work without a work permit.Adjustment of Status is discretionary, it means depend of the adjudicator if he will approve or not her AOS . I believe she won't have a problem and the adjudicator won't bring this up, but as I said their decision is discretionary.She doesn't have to give information if the adjudicator does not ask, but of course if the adjudicator ask she must tell the truth, and "explain" why she worked without a work permit.

donehere your Vawa was approved, they deny the AOS in extreme circumstances such as bigamy, infectious disease,remarried before Vawa approval,criminal record (crime of moral turpitude) or fraud.You will be fine..Be calm, answer the questions just when he/she asked, don't start giving information without the adjudicator ask you, when they are reading/reviewing the papers do not interrupt him/her with questions or talking.Do not handle papers to the officer without asking "May I show you the document xxxx"? They hate when people start throwing papers in their faces without even asking if they need to see the papers or not.

You will be fine!

so yeah, it shouldn't be a problem, not having a green card. especially if some from here already got it.

Fancy1 the time the alien worked before filing vawa without work permit they do not take in consideration , but as far u understood you friend worked without EAD after filing vawa. It's not true that every thing the person did before filing vawa is forgiven,just so me stuff related with work .AS I said before I believe she won't have any problem ,they don't use to ask questions regarding working with or without authorization, they may ask if she is working now ,but if they don't asks about work permit there is no need to start telling

I don't have any explanation regarding Uscis administrative proceedings ( e verify)

Thanks Cielo, you and Citragirl are the first who came in my mind when I got my interview notice as I know our timelines are close. You are close to getting your interview as well. I got after 5 months of transferring to NBC so you are still okay. My local office is very busy one just like NY so I understand its taking so long. You will be getting it soon. Relax.
