on question 16 put ( C) ( 9 ) ( ).

Regarding you other question I assume you never filed I-765 before right? then leave the space in blank where is written "which USCIS office, when it says granted or denied leave in blank as well. All these questions are related to the question 11, if you put NO on question 11 then the two others questions you don't have to answer.

When you finish all forms send me to review if you want, but do not print out now, since you still have to go for therapy for at least 2months.

I have a question for the forum members that have made infopass appointment ?

My case is at NBC for almost 6 months and at this point I would like to make an infopass app.

I have heard that I will not find out a lot about my case, but I want to make sure that the case is not lost and its at least on the waiting list and at the right place.

So I am trying now to set up the appointment and after I choose :

You need Service on a case that has already been file.

Then the next step is I guess to choose :

Case Services follow-up appointment - If it has been over 45 days since you contacted NCSC and have not received a response to your inquiry. You must bring the Service Request ID Number related to your inquiry to the appointment.

Now here is the confusion, I have never called NCSC and I do not have Request ID Number.

After I go thru all the set up in the end I have this message :

Case Services follow-up appointment - If it has been over 45 days since you contacted NCSC and have not received a response to your inquiry. You must bring the Service Request ID Number related to your inquiry to the appointment.

So can I disregard this massage and still made the appointment. Or do I need to call the NCSC and then wait for 45 days and then make the infopass appointment. I have answer previosly about this from a member but I just want to make sure that I dont make a mistake.

Sandra can you pls help me whit this.

Thank you

Hi, all,

I have some great news to share. My green card interview was today and the green card was approved.

The interview was easy. The officer made me raise my right hand and swear that I will be telling the truth, and then he asked me questions from the I-485 only. He asked if I was divorced and then asked for divorce decree of which he made of photocopy. It was not a problem that my wife had filed for the divorce. He then said that everything looked good and that I should be receiving the green card very soon.

He did not ask me any questions about the marriage or abuse. All the questions were from form I-485. He then asked me if I had any questions. I asked him how knowledgeable he was about VAWA cases and whether he had special training on VAWA. In response, he said that once the I-360 has been approved the job of the field office is to deal with issues of inadmissibility only. He said that if you have an already approved underlying petition (I-360), the I-485 after that should not be a problem - as long as there are no issues of inadmissibility. He said that the Vermont Service Center deals with the marriage and abuse for I-360 petitions, and that after the I-360 has been approved in Vermont the local office does not deal with these questions any more. I am saying this to reassure people who already have approved I-360s. He really said this. I realize that there are differences from one office to another and from one officer to another, but the odds seem to be that once the I-360 is approved, the I-485 should also be approved if there are no other problems. If you don't have any inadmissibility issues, you should be OK once your I-360 has been approved.

This is all. The entire process took exactly 1 year - from March 2013 to March 2014. I submitted the I-360 petition in March 2013. It was approved 6 months later - in September 2013. The I submitted the I-485 application in October 2013. It was transferred to the NBC in November 2013. It spent 4 months there - until February 2014. My interview was scheduled for March 2014. To remind you, I am a man and I prepared the I-360 petition and the following I-485 application entirely on my own, without any lawyers. I did a lot of research on this and prepared the documents extremely carefully. I am very happy as this closes a difficult chapter of my life and now I can open a new chapter, hopefully a more positive one.

Good luck to everyone waiting! Ask me any questions that you like about this process. I will stick around the VisaJourney forum to answer questions.

Best wishes to all! :-)

I wrote the local state above. About a timeline, I had tried to do it earlier, but it seemed too time-consuming and complicated. My basic timeline is in the post. 6 months from I-360 submission to approval. 5 months from I-485 submission to approval, 4 of which were at the NBC. I gave fingerprints a month after I submitted the I-485. My interview was less than 2 weeks after I received the interview notice.
