Hi Sandra,l know there,s no exact time when a decision should be made on a particular case but am starting to get worried about my case..this is my 6th month and no decision on my I485,dont you think that,s a long time?l know l had a bad experience with my IO,do you think she took it personally after my lawyer asked to speak to a supervisor about her asking me questions about my vawa.l did an infopass last month but they said that IO did,nt make a decision yet..have you had similar cases before?l really wanted to go home this holiday season but l guess not..

Hello Everyone,

My vawa was approved. Today i went to the uscis in California for the adjustment to register as a resident. Little did I know, the agent told me that they do not have jurisdiction over my case. Back on April of 2003 i was was issued a request to voluntary removal proceedings ,because my mother didn't show up. The people that were helping her, were a scam, I was 17 years old at that time. i got married in 2011 , and have two young children. My husband became abusive do to alcohol problems. Two years ago, I decided to file under Vawa. My husband didnt want me to have legal documents. In 2013 I filed for DACA,aka deferred action (dreamers act)and was approved. My vawa was approved like 3 months ago, and now the agent from uscis told me that, the judge from immigration has jurisdiction over my case. I dont know what to do. I'm afraid, that the judge might deport me.I have 2 little children and they depend on me. Their dad does not help me with money.

Please help

@ Sandranj & Anajnic: I got my fingerprints last month & my attorney forgot to tell me the date of my interview which is coming soon ,I was not able to get a medical done ,I paid for it somehow but will not be able to get results before the interview date.what are the chances they will ask for a medical on the spot or delay me for a medical? The interview letter says that I have to bring ,birth certificates of me and spouse ,divorce, bonafide marriage proofs, arrest records, tax returns for three years . I don't remember if I sent medical with my earlier application 2 years ago but I have a vague memory that I sent it.I arranged money for my travel with a great difficulty , my relatives won`t help even if they had money ,So only the creator God who is my father, brother, mother, sister, lover is helping me.I hope he gives me success soon!

I know Anajnic took her medical with her ,was she asked to show it?

Hey guys, has anyone here done their divorce after getting vawa approval, and taken divorce decree to AOS appt?

Question 1, will IO have a problem if you do divorce?

Question 2, will green card come in current husband, or maiden name?

Pls chip in if you have experienced this, thank you.
