Wildwoodflower21,

First time I e-mailed ombudsman in March this year. Did not get a response withing 45 business days so I called them and left a voicemail amd send an e-mail. About a week later got a response. Unfortunately until now my vawa petition has not been adjusticated yet. 20+ months pending!!!!! So in my case ombudsman was not helpful until I sent an e-mail to them saying about my plans to file writ of mandamus. 2 days ago I got an e-mail from them saying they contacted uscis headquaters and asked to take an action on my case.

Oh God! I sure hope it doesn't take them that long to respond. All I want is for them to ask uscis to send me an actual notice that my case is closed so I can refile :(

All of this trouble because USPS sent back my RFe for no reason at all :(

I want to share my journey. I have got married August 2013. (1 year). It has been very stressful. However, I have some good news. I have really struggled in the past 5 months. I came here on a B2 visa (complex) I know. I married a US Citizen. After getting a lot of nonsense from Catholic Charities, Pro bono attorney, and "ALL" the other organisation there are I have finally came to the conclusion. I am going to do this by my self.

So I have filled

I-360 (Vawa) + I-765(EAD) + I-485(AOS)+ I-912(Fee Waiver) (concurrently) at the same time. I highlighted all my points as best as I could.

I sent application off September 12th, 2014

USCIS received September 16th, 2014,

Notification of all three application was sent out September 19th, 2014

Prima Facie was sent out on October 1st, 2014.

Received Prima Facie October 4th, 2014

I am must say thank God for his extended grace mercy and continuous blessing.

A special thank you to Agnes. She has been an absolute tower the last month. I would have literally committed suicide had I not come across her. I was in a dark place and because of her generosity, patience, understanding and willingness to help I continued fighting for life.

Sandra I am grateful and thankful for your continued support to me and all VJ members. I would like to say to a VJ members a "BIG" thank you for all your support.

To all VJ members who are panicking and are stressed out and frustrated like I was, there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

Thank you Jesus for your blessing. I lost hope, I started to feel like I was going crazy. My brother decided to put us out of his house because he married a man and now his husband said we need to go. It is winter, I have no where to go, no money, and a 4 year old to feed. This Prima facie landed on time. I thank you Jesus as this burden was too much for me to bear. Jesus did not come when I want him, but he came right on time. He his an on time God.

I am praying for all those who are awaiting a decision that the good father up above answer your prays because I know what it feels like to have your back against the wall. I have been abandoned by my family in a time of need and desperation. Are you feeling me and this is just the beginning of a difficult long journey.

Keep the faith beautiful people. Mine has just been restored.

I did not receive RFE for prima facie and I hope I get none for the duration. I forgot to say the all the other organisations I went to for help including the psychologist, told me my case was week and I should go to my embassy and ask for a ticket back to London or use my credit card. They told me because my skull was not cracked and because I was not in a body bag then just the flimsy police report that does not say anything about bruise, cuts, and knock out punches then I will not get approved. I have not yet been approved, but I think by the grace of God I will be approved.

@Faithkeeper:

Uscis Vermont sent me a notice to request for further evidence. Then US postal office returned my mail back to sender for God knows what reason. When Vermont received the letter back, they thought that I abandoned my petition and to them my address was no good and had no way to contact me. When I knew what was going on, I exerted all efforts. Sent them notarized letter, infopass, emailed ombudsman. No response yet. So I dont know yet if they will grant me and reopen it or not.but as far as I know, per my infopass, my case was administratively closed. I never seen my rfe notice. I dont know what they wanted from me.
