Carguy, have u received your prima facie yet? Im really looking forward to getting my work permit. 7 months for the green card is not bad. I can be patient with that. But i need to work soon. They denied me food stamps and medicaid for my daughter and money is super tight right now. Does anyone know how long that takes?

Looking back at my stuff, I also sent my package out June 4. But I sent all together, I-360, I-765, & I-485.

Here is my timeline.

I-360, I-765, & i-485 Sent June 4, 2014. -----Edit meant 4.

Name update for USCIS June 16, 2014.

Got Reciepts for all 3 on June 20, 2014.

Got reciept for bio appt on June 27, 2014

PF recieved on June 30, 2014.

Bio appt July 9, 2014.

Recieved email/text EAD was approved on July 21, 2014.

Recieved EAD on July 26, 2014.

That's it so far, so just waiting to see what else happens, hopefulyl get approved soon with no RFE like you :)

Congratulation :) so it takes you almost 3 month from your vawa approved to the interview ??? how many times did you sent I485 or did you send it after your vawa got approved

Hi everyone. I received a biometric appointment today for i485. My question is do I attend it? When I went to infopass for my vawa, they say its administratively closed. And I sent them a letter to request to open and haven't got a reply yet if they will open it or not. So I dont know if I should attend a biometric appointment for an aos application with an administratively closed vawa. My appointment is for oct 10. Thanks!

My VAWA Timeline

May 5, 2014 - Filed First VAWA

September 3, 2014 - Filed I485 and I765

September 7, 2014 - Found out USCIS administratively closed my i360 because US postal service sent my RFE letter back to Vermont

October 10, 2014 - Biometrics Appointment for i485

Sent USCIS to reopen case, scheduled infopass, wrote to ombudsman

November 4, 2014 - Filed Second VAWA

December 23, 2014 - i765 Approved

January 2, 2015 - Received i765 Card

January 5, 2015 - Applied for SSN

January 12, 2015 - Approval of second Vawa

Approval of second vawa took 2 months and 12 days! No RFE. God is great!

February 9, 2015 - I-485 File is transferred to NBC

May 5,2015 - Received Interview letter for I 485

May 14, 2015 - Interview date

June 22, 2015 - Received Welcome letter and Approval letter. Will receive Green Card within 2-3 weeks

I made an e request for my old 485 petition that was filled in September 2013 before i filled my vawa that was approved in July 2014

My status since march 2014 was telling me uscis cancelled my interview due to me asking them to keep my 485 pending till i am done with my vawa

I got an answer by mail that my case is under processing for security checks befor decision

What does this mean?

My I-485 was finally transferred to local office yesterday. Can anybody share how long it takes for local office to set up an interview? Thank you.

Hi lank how do you know if your case was transferred to local office . since my vawa got approved 08/08/2014 and the I 485 changed from interview to initial review i didn't hear nothing from them
