Also, about dreams, I do have bad dreams about my ex, and I had been over it for a while, but the more anxious I get about whole AOS thing - the dreams about that person come back...and it sucks big time

Lop thanks so much for answering!

Tho I did some research and reading online.

They said that you ONLY PUT C31 IF YOU HAVE YOUR VAWA APPROVED ALREADY. WHICH I DONT. I HAVE A PENDING ONE.

ALSO, PUTTING C31 MEANS THAT YOUR EAD WILL BE APPROVED ONLY WHEN YOUR VAWA GETS APPROVED.

I don't know what to think. Which one is which and what will have this effect on my ead.

I hope the pros here can advice us...

Yeah, I totally can relate to this. Its a love hate relationship. Dreams about a person you used to love and at the same time, the one who caused so much pain.

Mamaof 3 you can have work permit if you.submit l485 and l765, and the category is C9,or if you didn't submit.l485 You can have work permit when your Vawa is approved.and.the category is C31.

If approved with deferred action.

Hey everyone congratulations to the new approvals.Like I said after knowing that I was denied and while waiting on the denial notice I am working on a new application. But something twisted happened I didi not go for the I-485 FINGERPRINTING though on Saturday received an RFE for the I-765 asking for two passport photos.Yes I do need a workpermit so bad but that my VAWA was denied should I really ignore the I-765 RFE or go ahead and hand in my passport photos.Plz Sandra whats yo suggestion has this happened to anybody you know I applied for the I-485 and I-765 when I was handing in the RFE before my VAWA was denied I am in the process of preparing a new application.

I think the system is really crooked

wildflower

I filed 765 under C(31) category six months ago and I had only rfe for photoes and silence, now when sandra is saying category c(9), with all given circumstances - i am thinking I should resubmit my 765 because it is not normal for them to keep it that long.

It is just so frustrating, how are you supposed to know that kind of stuff, you read the instructions, do as it says - and it is still a gamble...It did not even come across my mind to double check with forum, because I thought - c(31), ok that is very clear...SO frustrating, Im sorry guys just needed to vent out...

Lop. Im not sure but I have done reading and research. This mistake is costing me forever. From what ive read, do a service request. If you have not heard any thing about your case. Then when you talk to them, you either resubmit with the proper category with all the supporting documentation like showing you have a pending i485 to be eligible for c9.

Im thinking what I will do with mine is when I receive a notice or receipt number for mt ead, I will call the 800 number and do a service request. Some people get their category corrected by just calling and doing a service request and others completely resubmitting their i765

AND YOU ARE RIGHT. THE SYSTEM IS REALLY CROOKED. EXCEPT THERE IS NO SYSTEM. THEY KINDA DO WHATEVER THEY FEEL LIKE. CONTRARY TO WHAT THEY PREACH. ..SO FRUSTRATING.

Lets wait for the advice on the experts on this one. Dont take my advice 100% because im not an expert. Just been doing some reading based on others experiences.

the system is sure crooked coz my VAWA was denied but I was sent RFE photos. When I first filed c(31) it was denied within a month saying I had to have an approved VAWA petition first to submit c(31). Then when I submitted my last RFE I applied for I-485 and I-765 I filed c(9) my VAWA was denied the day I was supposed to be going for fingerprinting.I didn't go for fingerprinting but this Saturday I received RFE photos.I also think the officer adjucating the VAWA matters.

lop if you submitted I-485 and I-765 then you put the wrong category. The correct one is C 9.The I-765 instruction is very clear about the category.

E request won't solve the problem if you filed using a wrong category in the form l765. You have to submit again . C9 is just for aliens with pending AOS.

Thank you for answering sandra!

Its so hard to do things with a lot of different answers. We really appreciate you helping us clear confusions considering you help a lot of people and very busy.

I will resubmit i765 with the fee waiver with it along with the other documents :(

This is one of the perks of not hiring a lawyer..:(
