I wonder what could be the reason why my AOS package hasn't been opened yet. Been sittin in Vermont for over a week now. Does it go to a different place? Or do they wait til I respond to my RFe before opening it? I see timelines here that when they send aos they receive text/notification for receipt notice within average of 5 days.

I guess im just ranting. They dont have any rhythm or reason to do anything. Everything is always where the wind blows. They dont realize there are real people behind the petitions suffering and waiting...gggrrr..

My VAWA Timeline

May 5, 2014 - Filed First VAWA

September 3, 2014 - Filed I485 and I765

September 7, 2014 - Found out USCIS administratively closed my i360 because US postal service sent my RFE letter back to Vermont

October 10, 2014 - Biometrics Appointment for i485

Sent USCIS to reopen case, scheduled infopass, wrote to ombudsman

November 4, 2014 - Filed Second VAWA

December 23, 2014 - i765 Approved

January 2, 2015 - Received i765 Card

January 5, 2015 - Applied for SSN

January 12, 2015 - Approval of second Vawa

Approval of second vawa took 2 months and 12 days! No RFE. God is great!

February 9, 2015 - I-485 File is transferred to NBC

May 5,2015 - Received Interview letter for I 485

May 14, 2015 - Interview date

June 22, 2015 - Received Welcome letter and Approval letter. Will receive Green Card within 2-3 weeks

Yeap, I have been checking mine everyday, still initial review. So tiring, I'm guessing they are enjoying the summer weather, cos they were answering cases early in the year but things kinda slowed down now. Fingers crossed, they start processing our cases!! Take heart.. we are all in the same boat..lol

vista33 you will be fine.The officer could not approve on the spot because your fingerprints wasn't in their system yet.They will approve soon.

today my lawyer chk online status and told me case still in pending...

it's been a week (i was interviewed on Sep 4 )....

i have panic and worry about my GC approve or not approve everyday since Sep 4.

is it normal waiting for a week???

or someone has similar case like me waiting longer than a week??

best wishes to everyone who are fighting for GC...

it's a long way to go....

ana-stas I did not forget about the letter for you to mail USCIS,I am just waiting the person that I drafted the letter send me a copy the one I drafted for her case, cause i can't fin in my computer. As soon I get the copy I will let you know.She is vacationing in her home Country, and she will be back soon,

I have interview july 28 th and still waiting for an answer.

I thought its going to be faster but the waiting continues.

It might be the local office, I think mine is busy.

Anuway let me know when you will receive an answer.

Alla in the same boat indeed just different cabins....I had my AOS interview since July 24th my son had his fingerprints done Aug 06 which was required since he turned 14 at the time of my interview an since then no updates letter no green card no word on my case my last infopass said it's undergoing security clearance I don't understand why so long *sigh*

Yes I don't think they understand the mental anguish we undergo waiting an waiting an waiting.....but I tell God each day I'm one day closer to my Green card all we can do is yes keep faith!!!!!!!

Visa333 I have cases that some people got the GC 2/3 months after the interview, by the way one of the girl from this thread had interview in July,2014, and she got her GC last week.Don't panic.You will get your GC .

Sandra do you know which local office she had her interview? Was it in nyc?
