Hi all, I have an update. Today I received my interview appointment - it will be in less than 2 weeks from now.

The interview date is exactly 4 months after my file was transferred from Vermont to the NBC. The online system has not changed - it still says that my I-485 application is being processed "at a USCIS office" (it doesn't say local office). My online account still has a "last updated" date of almost 4 months ago.

The appointment letter shows my file number (A-number). It does not show the receipt number (EAC number). I hope they have transferred all my documents successfully from the NBC to the local office and nothing will be missing.

I will keep you all updated.

congratulations piper, did you do any form of inquiry? I have same timeline with no update

Hi everyone

I have questions regarding working without work permit. If someone worked without a work permit for more than a year and she submitted her taxes for 2012 then after that she received VAWA approval and work permit because of VAWA then she is going to file new tax return this year fro 2013 including that she worked more than 9 months without a work permit, how this will affect her case before interview for green card?will the immigration ask about this in the interview?if they asked what would be her answer?

The strange thing that she worked for more than one employer who use e-verify and she entered her social and non said anything about her eligibility to work before. How is this possible?

I decided to post here what kind of people I can't help anymore:

-if the vawa is based in mental abuse and you don't have a psychological evaluation done by a psychologist or psychiatrist. I won't take my time to read any evaluation done by social workers or counselors anymore.

-If you don't have a diagnose of major depression or pos traumatic disorder I can't help you either. The evaluation must HAVE MINIMUM 9 pages.

-you must have 3/4 affidavits minimum, stating bonafide marriage

-your own affidavit must have minimum 8 pages

-I won't help anyone giving me deadline to meet, such as "next week i need to submit my I-360" ,or " I have to answer my RFE in 10 days.I won' review any case, any RFE that the alien has to submit or answer USCIS in less than 15 days.

-If you didn't see a psychologist yet then do not contact me until you have a diagnose, cause if your psychologist decides you didn't suffer mental abuse then I wasted my times reading/fixing your affidavit.

-I became overwhelmed with the number of people asking my help, but their cases are incomplete, missing so many things, then from now one I will not review any case if it's not as I just described.

Do not call me during the day.I am just available from 7pm to 9pm (Monday to Friday).

missymd the immigration law states within ten days of moving, you must communicate your change of address to USCIS, if the alien fail to inform this is considered a misdemeanor and can be punished with a jail term of up to 30 days, plus a fine (I.N.A. § 265; 8 U.S.C. § 130).Inform USCIS you are moving to a different place, and then they will transfer your file.

Hey everyone , I'm still waiting for my interview for five mounts .. Anyone waited that long?

And if the AOS is denied , is the i360 denied automatically ?

I will appreciate if someone with knowledge will answer this!

Ben B I waited for about 6 months before I got my interview notice. My lawyer told me it would take 4-6 months from transfer to interview. The timing depends on the workload in your local office. Larger cities tend to have more immigrants than small cities, which translates to large workloads and longer wait times at your local office.

August 26th 2011 - Received EAD
Early July 2012 - Re-applied for EAD based on pending I-485
