Hi guys.

Please help me!!!!

About 3 weeks ago, I checked online about my visa status. It says online that they have mailed me a RFE on july 24.

I keep checking my mailbox and to this day I still havent got that mail.

I am sharing a mailbox with someone because I cant open a mailbox on my name. Now, the lady just told me its possible that they returned it to sender.

What am I gonna do now?

Is it possible it takes that long for that letter from vermont to not get here yet? I received letters from them with the same mailbox address in the beginning when they sent me a receipt notice.

or..

What if the usps sent it back to them? It got returned to sender? What am I gonna do?

Please help me! Im crying and I dont knw what to do.

Should I also include a change of address on that notarized mail?

I keep having problems with my current one so im thinking I should find a way to get a different address I can receive mail that I trust better. ..

If I were you, I would not do it just yet, first get your RFE in hand, and as you are working on your RFE - send them a change of address, the reason - bureaucracy, you do not know how long it will take them to change your address before sending you RFE (and honestly I have no idea how much time you have to respond), it might be right away, it might be muuuch later. It took them 4 months to tell me that I need to send pictures with my EAD renewal, and month later since I sent it - I am still waiting. I would not count that they care too much...Definitely change your address, but I would do it after receiving RFE. Maybe somebody thinks differently, and its ok, personally I have seen bureaucracy (read laziness and carelessness) in action and I do no trust USCIS for a bit!

IM Mostly nervous that if uscis received a return to address, would they "kill" my petition? I really dont know how things work...

Also, is it too late for me to file AOS WITH EAD AND AP while I wait for my VAWA?

My time November 20 file VAWA after 3 month approved march 14 , then I wait one month then file I -485 after 60 days I get bio metric , today I have interview and get approved after yes and no question . Good luck everybody thank you Sandraj so much for all answer

I checked on the visa status online and it did confirm that my rfe notice was sent back to vermont.

What do I do next?

It says online I should call a 1800 number. Or do I send them a notarized mail?

Also, can I file AOS and EAD and AP based on a pending Vawa? I already submitted my VAWAn can I file for that anyway or is it too late?

does it affect on my green card negatively ? does it consider as public charge ?

Niceski it will not affect your case at all.FAFSA is not considered public charge.

Wildflower in order to have your address changed you must send it a NOTARIZED letter to Vawa Unit, after 10 days of submitting a letter go to infopss to see if they changed the address, 90 % of the time they don't c,hange ,requiring the alien to go 2/3times to info pass.

Ask them to submit the letter again, not guarantee they will.mail you again specially if you did not change the address as stated in the Law.

You can fill out l485 anytime you want of your.husband is a US CITIZEN .Make sure yo submit.copy showing your Vawa is pending,and mail to.VERMONT to Vawa Unit.

if you.can't afford to pay the Uscis fees,file form l912 ,and write down to waive the fees.Of l485 and l765

Hi guys,

I'm still so excited as i just got back from my interview and it went great! Straight to the point and the IO was professional and knew what she was doing ! I got my approval on the spot! Thank you Jesus! My journey was long and tumultuous but it ended better than I expected..

I went without my attorney! I didn't believe I needed one especially after my Vawa approval! I was asked the yes/no questions and she marked as I answered! She swore me in under oath! And then asked if I was still with my previous employer, I said No and told her my current job and she asked my position there and I told her too then she wrote it on my file also! Asked if I finally got my EAD and I said yes! Asked me what happened to my previous GC application and I told him it was probably denied due to failure to show up as my "wonderful" ex hid the interview notice from me and I never got it !! Before I even explained it all she said "who knows maybe he probably hid the letter from you" and shook her head.. I said yes and smiled a bit so that relieved a few of the tension I had!! And asked if I was still married to him I said yes, haven't filed for divorce yet! She also verified my names, address and contact details, how long I've lived there etc! Verified my parents names and my ex's name too!

Asked if I have travelled out of the US since my arrival, I answered ! And she says my fingerprints hasn't arrived yet from from Vermont or hqtrs (I don't remember ) but says she already just sent them a notice to send it to them and my card is ordered! She was nice and professional and that's all I needed! I'm sharing this so whoever is still waiting.. NEVER give up hope! God is still God.. SandraNj! I know you have heard this a million times but it still won't stop me from saying thank you and May God bless you for your advises... Pls don't stop doing what you are doing!
