Yes tdiva my lawyer had me write a letter asking them to search the system because I had no documentation as well.

Congratulations on the new approvals.

I finally found out that why my denial notice was not mailed to me. I contacted the lady at the shelter in Washington who said she had written forward to my new address in Omaha, NE on the advice of the post man but the post office instead sent it back to Vermont as undeliverable. And my status which showed undeliverable asked me to call them and when I did the agent referred me to another agent. The other agent asked to write to Vermont. When I asked her what specifics were supposed to be in the letter she insisted on asking me to write to Vermont. Luckily I had already prepared a letter and getting it notarized now and it will be on express to Vermont.

Then comes my wife whom I have been trying to ask to let the divorce go on with no troubles something I have been trying to convince her since April.because I left both the cars to her and the land we had acquired. I even advised her to see a counselor and to help her move on.instead of doing that she went and spoke to a lawyer on how best she can fight the divorce. The lawyer and her are planning on filling a form i130.She told me this a couple of nights ago. This is so disorganizing reason being I dont wanna involve myself with this gal again in that I am ready to go back to Africa and with a VAWA denial my situation is gonna be complicated with a form i130 because I now live in Nebraska and never wanna go back to Washington. I met somebody else who is moving down to Nebraska.

My question is that is there a possibility of asking a petition to be withdrawn even if you are not the petitioner but the person being petitioned for.

Louboy, the earlier you can hire a vawa attorney, the better. This sounds more confusing than before, the fact that she still wants to be involved with you is a bit crazy after what u have been through; returned mails to Uscis etc.... . Get an atty to IRON this out, this forum can only do so much! Goodluck bro!

KLOVE got me thru...

Thank u but I dont have my i485 receipt I have the old biometric receipt n my husband i130 receipt

According to the Form I-765 instructions http://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/files/form/i-765instr.pdf Page 6 to 8 REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION, doesn't seem like it's mandatory for you to send I-797 receipt of I-485. I sent mine with my I-485 receipt to show Vermont that I did in fact have a pending I-485.

No specific way to pack it, I used a large envelope from USPS.

VERMONT SERVICE CENTER

don't forget to put in bold on the upper right side "VAWA UNIT"

So if I understand well, your wife want to get back with you and file I-130?? Bro if you've been abused by this woman and you been beaten by men she was messing with, like you told us before, do not go back to her. That's all I can tell you, stay away from her and concentrate on your Vawa petition.
