I sent my medical to USCIS through CERTIFIED MAIL,, not knowing what this type of mailing is after the usps clerk suggested it to me.

Now by the tracking number it says, Ready to pick up.

Does anybody have this experience? IS there anybody in USCIS who is picking up mail from the post office or will most likely return to me?

Thank you.

Congrats Citragirl and Czzr!!! Ok so I was re-reading the posts and I noticed this one from Sandranj when you replied to me. I just want to make sure I understand it right. You said "but once Vermont approve they will issue GC". Is my interview results being send back to Vermont to review or what?
My vawa has been approved and I filled the AOS after that and just had interview.

Ok thanks.

BTW Missymd, Mamaof3! any news??

naptime the local office is responsible to check inadmissibility such as fraud, misrepresentation, public charge etc regarding Vawa cases.Their decision is discretionary, but once Vermont approve they will issue the GC, as I said before just in case of inadmissibility they can deny.

When did you mail it? Was it normal or priority?

I send it two days ago, now when I track it on usps.com it says " Its ready to be picked up"

But would USCIS pick it up from the postal office ?

I send it normal, doesnt says priority, what s the diference ?

Hey naptime, Congrats on approval again, I'm having my bio appt next week, and I'm so pissed because I have the copy of the biometrics letter not the original, My atty sent it to a wrong address and the post office is trying to send it back to my atty's office. I don't know if I will get turned away from my bio appt because of this... Anyone had this happen before? Going to fingerprint appt with copy of letter not original?

Like biometrics appointment letter? If it is the black and white letter you talking about (not the yellowish, official, imprinted letter that you get as receipt or acceptance of your case) I took my copy too because I lost my original one,(was in different folder and I couldn't find it before appt ) and I make copies of papers as soon as I get them from immigration office. They didn't even look at it closely just at the beginning to confirm my name and the date, and then they stamped it in red after taking my pic and finger prints. I still have the paper. This is my experience, idk if it would be different for somebody else, maybe Sandraj might shed a light

If there is anybody who is about to give up. it is me. After finding out that a denial letter has been mailed I talk to a couple of attorneys in Nebraska who are eager to fight for my case when it is removal proceedings that I fear they may hold onto the application and send it after 3 months. Chances of getting a notice to appear start after a month of getting a denial to 3 months.I then call an attorney in Chicago who asked me what I do for a living and reviewed my last rfe and what I responded. I told him I was a construction laborer. He told he could fix the case and asked me to travel to Chicago when I travelled there. He asks me for 15000 dollars with 7500 upfront. I lost my phone in Chicago. I think I spent 500 bucks there an amount upfront for a the Nebraska attorneys who want 2500.

The denial letter was mailed to my old address in Washington which was a shelter despite after I filled a form AR 11. The shelter forwarded it to me 10 days ago but I am yet to receive it. I called USCIS this morning and the agent refused to change my address and request to have the denial letter mailed again. She wanted to refer me to the next level agent and when I did that last time the line was long coz I waited for an hour and half which made me give up.and Vermont wrote me a notice to write not call for an Inquiry, What I am worried is that 30 days since my denial is about to reach and I am yet to even see the denial letter.

Two of my friends from Africa have gone to ICE to ask for one way tickets to Africa but the ICE refused to give them those tickets. And yet one even has a DUI.I wonder why the USCIS is not willing to pay for the tickets back home if they know someone has no work permit.

So my question is should I write to Senator Murray the lead VAWA advocate in congress because I was abused in her Jurisdiction.

And Sandra do you know if in the long run I get my denial notice mailed again do I have more time till a notice to appear is sent to me again or it is the same time from the first one.

Luoboy, try to relax!! You have alot going on there..I,m sure you can find a good lawyer in your area..$15000 is alot.some of those lawyers take advantage because they think we,re too desperate and we,ll most likely pay anything

its ridiculous in that I have no arrest record not even a traffic ticket and yet the guy mentioned 15000 dollars for something I can do by myself. Luckily I just found out that my counselor who was afriend and I was seeing before he left for a vacation to Africa is actually a licensed therapist.

I agree with missymd, you need to relax, but you also need to make wise and calculated decisions. Taking trips to Chicago to meet lawyers doesn't sound like a wise and calculated decision that's a 7 hour drive from Omaha. $15000 is an exorbitant amount of money, and makes no sense for a vawa case. $2000 to $5000 is more likely to be what a good lawyer will charge. You shouldn't go see any lawyer without your denial letter. Like I have told you before, you need to receive that letter first to know exactly why your I-360 was denied, and go from there. I do not think writing to the senator will change anything, you need to re-file, but in order to re-file you need to know why you were denied so that you can provide more documents or information to prove your case. Right now, you need to call the shelter and find out if they sent the denial letter to your new address, and make sure to verify that they sent it to the right address.

We told you already that you need a detailed psychological evaluation, preferably from a psychologist. I'm not sure if VSC will even acknowledge a psychological evaluation from a counselor.

My counselor is a licensed therapist with a PHD in psychology. Then I have people ready to swear to affidavits but was waiting on the advice of a lawyer to help construct the body of the affidavits Because they saw a lot and I don't know what is needed. Also my sister in law is willing to get the wedding pictures from my ex wife.(abuser).So with this new evidence I think I am being tempted to go by myself.Just that I am yet to see the Denial letter.
