flexx as I said before Vawa cases can take 2/7months, despite in this thread we have people waiting 17months to have their Vawa cases adjudicated. USCIS hired more officers, then they are working great regarding Vawa timeline, but do not expect something like on Aug 30 I will have a decision ok. Considering what you described you will be able to prove that you were battered, but you have to prove bonafide marriage as well.

faithkeeper no way they would know about you son status.A bunch of my friends (green card holders) had to mail copy of their GC to the market place/insurance company to prove they have GC.

so weird she would say that though okay thanks Sandra!!!

wilfflowwer r21 you have no idea the number of people that asked my help after receiving RFE,some USCIS asked evidence of bonafide marriage, others to prove abuse and MANY to prove both.I was able to explain well and all cases were approved. It's not the end of the road at all.Wait for the RFE,you will have 87days to answer and DO NOT rush to answer, take your time and gather what they are asking or explain why you don't have what they are asking ok.I answered an RFE three months ago and he alien was married 06 days, and after the RFE answer he was approved.Show to your lawyer and do not get desperate ok.

Sandra I really appreciate your response. You have such great knowledge on these things. I do not have a lawyer tho.

I will take your advice and just sit and wait for the hard copy of the RFE and do my best, after all this is what its all about :)

I will keep posting and reading this thread everyday.

God bless us all and good luck to all of us!

I just want to clarify, you said that "he alien was married 06 days". Is this a typo?

And also, what if beyond every effort, I cant find anything else to add on to my case. Whats going to happen to me? Are they going to deny it?

Thank you again so very much!!!

czrr your interview went well. If someone has a restraining order, DIU ,or a new officer started working etc.then they have to review the case before approval. You will be fine.

i hope so Sandra... im trying to stay positive.. is it normal that the IO didnt give me any paperwork? didnt even ask for w2....

, he did ask if i have ever had public benefits.... whats the normal/average wait for a response on the i485?

thanks

Hi,

I would like to share my experience at the interview today.

I was scheduled AOS after 10 months of Vawa approval.

At the interview today I was lucky. The IO was really nice.

She asked me for ID, Passport, Work Permit and yes and no questions from I485.

After that it was just chit chatting with her and my lawyer and me about general stuff.

Then she asked me to bring new medical and she said after she received she will aprove my case.

She told me that she cant aprove me on the spot but she asked me where she can send the card :)

I was so lucky.

She made this experience very pleasurable,

Many of them are so nice.

I beleive they review every case deeply before the interview and if you guys have everything in order you will be fine.

Tnks for support from all of you and Good luck ! :)

Flexx and wildwoodflower21, I think you guys are stressing too much and need to relax and wait. Flexx just wait until you get a decision, if your lawyer filed it properly you will be approved. Wildwoodflower21 wait until you receive the hard copy of the RFE in the mail, once you have it, come back and share it with us, and we will do our best to help you. We are all blessed to have each other and blessed to have sandranj on this website to help. Stay positive guys, everything will be ok.

czrr usually they take 2/4 months to approve after the AOS interview,if it wasn't approved on the spot.

Flex bonafide marriage is not proved with a religious cerimony, honeymoon and pictures, but showing commingling finances
