Neither of us want her to leave for an extended time, would it be best to have her go and do the K1, or get married and do the I-130 and 485 way?
BTW she can show proof of intent to return home (She bought a ticket home back in Dec. for a few days before she HAS to go (Feb 19 I think is the last day she can be here).

February 11, 2014: I-129f delivered

February 14, 2014: NOA1 received via email/text

February 18, 2014: NOA1 received in mail (dated 2/11)

February 19, 2014: Alien Registration Number changed

May 28, 2014: RFE issued

May 30, 2014: Text/ email that RFE was issued

June 2, 2014: RFE hardcopy received

June 3, 2014: RFE reply sent

June 4, 2014: RFE reply Received

June 10, 2014: NOA 2 (Text)

At this point either alternative is viable. It depends on how long your fiancee is able to stay here, for if you go the CR route she will not be able to leave the country for another 3-4 months, until her AP/EAD comes through, the presumption being at some point she might need to go back home to sort out everything she left behind when she came to the US to visit you.

The above answer is 100%. Either choice is viable.

If you are sure you want to get married, and she doesn't need to go back home for any specific thing for the next few months you are totally within your rights to just marry and start the process here.

July 2005 - met my awesome, hot, amazing love in Lousiana.
July 2006 - Married said love and moved to Canada.
June 2011 - Entered US to visit family, decided to stay.
Feb. 2012 - Sent paperwork to Chicago.

May 2012 - Received green card.

Day 4 - NOA Emails Received - 03/02/2012

We are going to stick with the K-1 she has stuff to tie up back home :(
Hopefully its more towards 6 months not 12+

Colombian interviews go pretty quick and they are easy. If your I-129f gets approved quickly and sent to the embassy in a timely manner, you could be looking at less than 6 months.
