I'll make the assumption for you. We live in WV. It's not the backward a$$ place everybody makes it out to be. At least not where we live. But it is a depressed part of the nation. Always has been and always will be until our legislators do something about creating an economic environment condusive to investment.

I've never been one of those "proud" West Virginians - Mountaineers Are Always Free and all that jazz. And the reason is this - even though most of the people in this state are hard working and honest - there are a massive amount of them who are racist. I'm talking ignorant racism like calling the President a muslim; a monkey; even the N word. And while many of them are young, nearly all the older people at least distrust people of color. If they don't outright hate them.

Sorry to say it, but I live here. I know how it is.
