This is my first foray into this process, and it's just beginning here, so go easy on me.

I'm a US citizen and business owner and I'm seeking information about how I can help my Nepalese business partner attain a work visa in the US. My company is in IT and I am 75% owner. My partner holds the other 25% stake.

It's a "bootstrapped" startup company so we wouldn't be able to use the investor's visa. But is there a way for a foreign partner to be granted a visa? He's not an employee so I would assume there's no need to prove his superiority in the filed like I might be required to do with a potential foreign employee.

Any advice you can offer would be fantastic.

Thanks in advance,

CD

He would need to be an Employee or an Investor, it sounds like he is an Investor.

Investor is E2, not sure if that applies for Neapalese or EB5, more money but will get him a Green Card.

Not sure if there is an appropriate treaty for an E2 Treaty Investor non-immigrant visa....but if there is, he still wouldn't qualify, sorry. The E2 visa holder must be in a position to control the investment/company. By law, he/she must own more than 50% of the business.
