Personally, if someone is discussing/voting/legislating my Constitutional rights as an American citizen, I prefer them to at least have a basic understanding of the topic. We always hear about what devastation guns caused to families and victims. The Democratic agenda is responsible for more family devastation than guns can ever account for. Policies and government destroy families, guns are a tool which just like the pen can be used for good and bad! To protect or destroy depending on the bearer of the tool!

Okay, since the Democrats are destroying America, what's the solution? Get rid of government policies put in place to help those who can't help themselves and arm everyone?

Edit: Let's try this a different way. Republicans have been in the White House and Congress just as long. If the Democrats are so horrible, why hasn't anything been done about it?

There's no solution since there's no problem. Government policies are good for some people, bad for others. It's always been that way.

He's just trying to relativise the issues. I've heard it all before. It is a big steaming heap of manure.

What more of a basic understanding of how many people die at the end of a gun does anyone need to understand in order to form the opinion that it's just too many? How does my mistaking a magazine for ammunition affect or change any of it? It doesn't.

I'm in favor of the 2nd amendment and right to bear arms. I just want to legislate ways for fewer people to die needlessly at the end of a gun. But the more you gun owners show your true colors with your ridiculous statements and analogies, the more I wonder if all guns should be illegal. I think passing an iq test should be part of being allowed to own a gun, because from what I've seen posted on this board, there aren't a lot of active brain cells in the pro gun crowd.

From what I have noticed over the years in my area, is that the people these so called laws are supposed to effect are not even concerned about gun regulations, since only the law-abiding members of society MIGHT obey the gun control laws.. The people making these laws necessary could care less than a rats a$$ about you or your laws!

YAs far as the guns killing 35,000 people per year, I think Obamacare or the rebranded Obamacare aka Affordable Care Act will kill more people annually from delayed or denied treatment than firearms do, but I bet you will never hear a cross word about it from the Dems unless it is an election year.

The difference is that it is a fact that guns kill 35,000 people p.a. whereas your comment about the ACA is purely speculation. Flimsy at best, as an attempt to an argument.

Again, you are juxtaposing facts and your opinion, as though it were possible to relate the two intelligently.

Well, with all the smoke and mirrors of this administration and the lies surrounding Obamacare, speculation is the only option. Re-branding a pile of dung (ACA aka Obamacare) results in the same end product! The Dems can call it "dope on a stick", but the majority of Americans still think it sucks.

Speculation is the only option for those who lack facts; diversion coming in as a close 2nd, as evidenced by your posts.

Why, specifically, is the ACA, so bad? If anything, you should be mad at the private companies that built their business model around not covering sick people.

I do not see why it is my responsibility to pay for others bad choices in life. Eating habits, sexual partners, hereditary traits, uncontrolled reproduction, gender reassignments and other conditions that are most likely manageable with individual self-control.

You're not, they are. Its through a private market place. If you're talking about premiums, you were already paying for that. If you're talking about expanded medicaid, the states are going to pay for that after the initial period.

Oh and I don't know of any case where the government paid for someone to have a sex change.

I don't want to pay for roads in California.
