Hello everyone,

Do all documents that my fianceé is required to take to the embassy in Bogotá the day of the interview need to be translated to English? This would be things like police certificates, birth certificate etc.

Also, as far as evidence of the relationship, we have harldy done any communicating via email or snail mail but almost always we speak by way of skype or facetime. Is there a good way to show proof of facetime and skype conversations? Of course apart from this we have other evidences such as ring, ring receipt, many pictures together etc.

Thank you all so much for your help!

Documents for the interview are usually accepted that are in English or the native language of the country. So anything in Spanish probably does not need to be translated unless the consulate instructs you to do so. You need to check your instructions from them, and/or ask the consulate directly.

No. All of the documents that were in Spanish that we took to the embassy in Bogota were accepted without translations.

Pictures were good enough for us, I never bothered printing phone receipts or Skype convos. There was some extra stuff in there, like her having a credit card on my account etc. Also, many years of plane boarding passes.
