Hello everyone,

I just received my step-daughters petition in the mail, it was rejected because I signed in the wrong spot headbonk.gif (I was sleep deprived and didn't double check). My question is if I can submit the same documents that were returned to me. I've printed and signed a new I-130 (quadruple checked this time) but the other documents such as the cover letter, birth certificate, marriage certificate etc. have been marked by USCIS. Should I also re-submit new copies of these?

Hi

yes just resubmit

Yes you may.

Thanks, does this mean that on part D question 2 I now have to reply "yes" for having filed a petition before? Or can I still mark "no" since it wasn't accepted because I signed in the wrong place?

Yes on that question and make an brief explaination on the piece of sheet attached with it including with a letter of rejection from (USCIS) office.
