I did something I should not have I think. I recently took over helping my cousin sort through his paperwork since the old guy helping him kept getting apps sent back due to missing information or incorrectly filled out.

Anyway, he received an email on October telling him to resubmit a I864, I864A, and supporting tax returns. This was to be mailed to NVCElectronic@state.gov.

More emails are sent asking for my documents such as proof of relationship, etc.

A December email letter from NVC itemizes missing information on I864 and some other missing forms such as having biographic information from passport, photograph, etc. It also said NOT to submit the I864 after making corrections, just bring it to the consulate interview, as resubmitting it would start processing again and it would cause delays.

So, basically the letters from October and the latest one from December were in conflict with each other. One says to email it in. The other says, fix it but don't email it in.

I, unfortunately, chose the latter and now regret sending it this morning. I've emailed NVCElectronic@state.gov to see if they can delete the I864 from the rest of the pdfs that I emailed today.

Anyone have a similar situation where they asked them to basically delete a document that they submitted in error?
