Background check? What it is this exactly?

I really wonder what background check is! What will they check? If we been arrested or kill someone? lol

I would like to know exactly what they ll check.

On my first time i was in the states i was with my friend out on the car eating and a police officer came and ask us why we are out that late at night. We told him we just sit and eat cause everything was closed cause was really late i gave him my passport he checked it and he told us to go home cause is late.

Is that a problem??

Btw what does it means when they change ur alien registration number???

It just means that they've assigned you an alien registration number (or A number). It will be printed on your NOA2 hardcopy and you will need to reference this number in the future.
