Request for Evidence in foreign country and we don't have it!

My husband and I were married in Chile in February 2011 and he applied for his visa and was granted the visa very quickly and we came to the US in June 2011. This past spring we began the process to remove the conditions of his visa- we sent in documentation and he had his biometrics appointment in October. Just now we received a letter requesting more evidence of our bona fide relationship. We had previously sent in evidence, such as bank statements, bills, taxes and insurance, all things with both of our names on them. We also had letters of affidavit written by my parents (whom we currently live with) and a mutual friend. All of this evidence was from when we came to the US in June 2011 and after.

Now they are requesting evidence from the time we married in February 2011 to June 2011, but we don't have much evidence. Because I was in Chile on a work visa, I was not able to have a bank account, so it was only my husband who had his own bank account. We didn't buy or own anything together, since our goal was to come to the US. We didn't rent a place, because we lived with my husband's mother. So now I don't know what kind of evidence we can send in--photos of us, a letter of affidavit from his mother stating we lived with her? I was thinking of writing a letter explaining our situation and the lack of physical evidence. Will those things be enough? Any advice on what to send in or will help my husband's case will be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

For ROC they want evidence from the entire length of your marriage. You've got a little gap in your evidence. I think just a letter of explanation will go a long way, but you can also add an affidavit or some photos. Don't worry.
