Hi everyone,

It's so nice to have finally come across such an informative forum! I have a question regarding my dad's AOS.

I am a US citizen and I'm in the process of adjusting my dad's status here. He entered the U.S. legally as a visitor (with inspection) and overstayed. Although he worked without a permit, he has never committed any fraud, such as faking a social security number (SSN) or misrepresenting himself as a US citizen. He just worked in a private home and got paid cash. He has been paying his taxes without a SSN as a nonresident alien. So my question is, will he need a waiver like I-601 for his I-485 application? Can we just submit his application without any waiver(s)? Are the documents required in his case very similar to "simpler" I-485 cases of a USC child petitioning for a lawfully present parent, including forms such as I-130, I-485, I-325A, I-693 (medical exam report), I-765 & I-864? Should we anticipate any complications of his AOS because of his overstay and work history?

Many thanks in advance!!!
