K3 & IR1

hello everyone! This is my first time to post here. I just wanna ask if u guyz could share your timelines for K3 and IR1 filed in CSC, from the time it was filed until it gets to the embassy here in the Philippines? My husband will upgrade my I130 (filed in june 2006 as F2) to IR1 in a couple of months. I just wanna know what should we do for me to get to US soon. Will filing an I129F(K3) be a smart move for us or should we concencrate on th IR1? pls help! I really do'nt have any idea how long a K3 is being processed here.tnx

If you have NOA2 on the I-130 it is too late for K-3, I-129F needs to be filed between NOA1, and NOA2 of the I-130, at this point NVC has had your case on hold to forward to embassy when visa number comes up. You may wait until he naturalizes, and then contact NVC about change in status, they will then start the process for IR-1 visa.

When I filed a petition for my relative I was a legal permanent resident (green card holder). I recently became a U.S. citizen. How can I upgrade the petition?

Please make a copy of your Naturalization Certificate. Send the copy - NOT the original - to the National Visa Center with a letter containing the beneficiary name and case number of the petition you want to upgrade. We will send the beneficiary any additional forms and information that may be required.

I'am still waiting for my I130 to be approved by USCIS. But I'm not expecting an approval anytime soon until it has been upgraded.
