Hello again,

Now I'm trying to fill the I-864 Affidavit of Support form and I was checking the poverty guidelines,

My husband makes about 20,000 a year. is that enough or does he need a co-sponsor?

I'm so confused. If someone could answer me I would really appreciate it.

Thanks

That's enough for a household of 2 (husband + you), required is $19,387.

You have to consider the petitioner's number of household members PLUS the intending immigrant/s in order to determine if you'll need a joint sponsor or not.

MMm but i'm the only beneficiary. its just me and my husband. So what he makes should be enough right? we dont have any kids

according to the guidelines if its just you and your husband so it looks good ... but remember because its so close I would send in the I864 without co sponsor but have a backup ready if it doest get accepted atlest you have a co sponsor ready to go..

The following is the USCIS site with the poverty guidelines.

http://www.uscis.gov/i-864p

You need to be at 125% of the poverty level for the household size and place of residence (Alaska and Hawaii have higher requirements).
