my wife is us citizen , she sent the form I130 in April 15,2013, we got the receipt telling us our case number 4 days after,

the we got 2 updates on our case , then this is the last update " On January 23, 2014, we transferred this case to your USCIS local field office for additional processing. You will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283."

im asking why until no we dont get the mail telling us where is our case yet ??

and is that normal ? ?

the progammers that put up the messaging system

got it wrong,

as

your casefile not trip to a local office,

instead, it went somewhere else,

so

the message you see, although indicative of movement, casefile transfer,

is really a data error, as it not actually go to a local office.

the use of local offices for stand-alone casefile adjudication stopped on 31 OCT 2013, and these lazy programmers not know about it.

How to know where yer casefile actually went? Call up USCIS, use a telephone, get an ISO (not a trivial thing) and inquire for location for the casefile transfer. The computer is wrong, storing wrong data, and CSR (the first human you talk with) can only see what you can see. An ISO has higher computer access, and can see more. Expect up to a 2 hour wait, to get an ISO, if you are seeking 'the truth'.

It just depends on where it was sent. Texas and Nebraska are taking closer to 60 days to approve whereas California seems to be moving faster. Just keep checking your online status for a change

im at 63 days . transferred to TSC on Nov 27th. I don't see an approval coming anytime soon. Hope and pray you got sent to CSC.

It means your I-130 has been sent to another center for processing, and everyone essentially is having to go through this.

Your next message from USCIS will either be another transfer email as there are often about 3 of them, or it could be an RFE (request for evidence) or it could be your NOA2.

You might find more time-relevant information in the thread for April filers though, as I see your timeline indicates April.

You should also start learning from the NVC threads, as that will come after the NOA2:

but

you should really engage yer USCitizen Petitoner to use a telephone,

call into USCIS,

and get an ISO and ask for casefile location.

Our application was received (1 NOA) on Feb 25, 2013. It was stuck in Nebraska since October. Because of suggestions from this forum I contacted my US Senator and Representative's offices whose aides agreed that something was wrong. Their communications with USCIS Nebraska resulted in the latter saying they had issues with our application and sent me a request for evidence. They contended that my signature on the application was not original (it was in black ink and was original as was my wife's- which they did not mention). On April 4 I re-signed the form using blue ink and returned it to them. On April 20, they approved our application. I hate to think how long it might have sat in their files if I hadn't gotten help from politicos.
