I know this may seem odd to many here, but my Chinese wife and I, after seven years needed to dissolve our marriage. Very amicably. We are now good friends, but she lives in Chongqing and I in Las Vegas, NV.

Anyway the Clark County paperwork was straight forward and without complications, but now Chongqing does not want to accept it. She needs and deserves to have a new partner. Does anyone know if the Chinese Consulate hers (or even the US Consulate) would be the place to submit the papers, so she will not have complications there in Chongqing?

Thanks you for your help

There's been some new word about authentication of divorce decree,

where

the USA divorce decree is authenticated by the China Embassy/Consulates in the USA,

then

the entire document set will be recognized by the province marriage bureau in her province in China.

I read it on the Houston China Consulate website last year, sorry, no link.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.
