Please tell me you have personally investigated all of these so called "under qualified blacks," and found out they were not qualified for the position.

Janelle, I did not make the case that anyone hired was unqualified, but that Blacks are hired more often than anyone else when you consider populations.

I guess a "color blind society" is one where no one noticed the preference showed to some.

Why is it, so many educated Blacks have such a problem grasping numbers and statistics?

If my facts were off, then demonstrate that Blacks do have higher levels of education or experience which would account for them being hired at twice the rate (or more) as everyone else?

No one is making an assumption that you or any individual is not well qualified and smartly educated, we are talking about hiring practices and "if" preferential treatment is given to a group.

Oddly enough when Blacks are "underrepresented" in a company the use of Statistics suddenly make sense, when they are over represented... the numbers are meaningless.

I must have missed that. What I saw assumed everyone in the country was equally qualified, meaning the employment percentages should follow population percentage. He said black were over represented when compare to their population. I don't see why that means they weren't qualified at all.

I'm serious. Other than scewed populations that follow the locations of these agencies, what other reason would there be? I would assume the individual va "shops" are representative of the 30 mile radius populations. But I'm not sure. That could be what he's missing.
