This is my question. I just recieved a NAO but it was just letting me know that they recieved my I-129F and my check, is that the NOA1??

Yes that is te receipt NOA1.

Using the case number on the receipt, you can set up email notification on USCIS site and follow the case there.

though I don't know what NAO stands for, but I believe you are talking about NOA1, sounds just like it.

ok, well i went to the website that was suggested to go to. The usics website, and i registed and typed in my password and nickname

and it says that mine has not been updated

it does not provide any info. beside my name

i.e. the receit number.... etc.

did i do something wrong??

There wouldn't be any more information at this point other than your receipt date, name and case number. You can check periodically to see if something changes such as the last updated date which doesn't mean much but sometimes indicates movement on your case. Other times it means they picked up and moved your file.

yes..informing you that your case is in their hands already. Just wait 2-3 months or some just waited 1 month before they received their NOA2 or Notice of Approval.
