Hello,

Please i am totally confused between I-864 & I-864A FORM

My question is straight forward , please have a look:

*Petitioner can not meet 125% poverty level for last 3 years ( 2010,2011,2012)

*so Joint sponsor arranged

Now !!!!

*Petitioner will fill-out I-864 ( with supporting documents like pay slip , tax return , job letter )

*Joint sponsor will fill-out I-864

But !!!!

If Petitioner had tax return with her mother in 2010,2011

but Independence tax return in 2012

So mother need to file I-864A because petitioner had tax return with her in 2010 & 2011????

Same if Joint sponsor has tax return with his wife ( Wife Independence but tax return same ) so joint sponsor wife need to fill-out form I864A ?

Last but not least I-864A form need same supporting documents ( pay slip , tax return , job letter ) as need for I-864

( In case of petitioner mother and joint sponsor wife )

If i am wrong any where please correct me

THX

Petitioner's mother does not matter as most recent tax return is alone, thus no need for I-864A for mom.

Yes, joint sponsor, as married filing jointly, will need to have wife file I-864A.
