Joint mortgage statement?

Hi all,

We are in process to remove GC condition for my wife.

We co-applied mortgage for buying our house in June of 2013. One of the evidences listed in I-751 instructions is:

"2. Lease or mortgage contracts showing joint occupancy and/or ownership of your communal residence"

Can we use our monthly mortgage statment (with both of our names on) as evidence for the above requirement?

Yes, that's fine. Whose name is on the deed? Even though my name is the only one on the mortgage loan, my husband's name is also on the deed and so I provided 1. The deed, and 2. The statements showing we made the mortgage payment from our joint account. Good luck! :)

Thanks. But I don't tnink the mortgage statement can actually show that the payment is paid from the joint account, it's a bill after all.

Do I miss anything?

You would show the statement from the joint account showing the payments made to the mortgage from that account.

I got my mortgage from the credit union I bank with so the statements actually show a bill and payments from one of the joint accounts we have with the credit union.
