Hello wonderful visa members.. I am here again for another help.I got my interview date schedule which is on the 25th of Feb.2014 at 07:30am. I am confused if i need to go with another medicals and Affidavit of support again. We submitted the new affidavit of support(I-864) when our case status went to RFE because USCIS indicated on the letter that we received from them that,The old version which we submitted back in Ghana during the visa process at the Embassy(I-134) has expired so they asked us to do the new version which is I-864 WHICH WE Submitted. To make my case short,we received a letter from USCIS about what to bring to the interview and some includes these...1.Submit a completed Medical examination(I-693) and vaccination supplement in a seal envelop(unless already submitted),,,,2..A competed affidavit(s) of support (I-864) with all required evidence, including the following, for each of ur sponsors(unless submitted). My first question now..DO I HAVE TO AGAIN TO ANOTHER MEDICAL AFTER DOING IT IN GHANA??? 2.Do i again have to do another affidavit of Support after we submitted the recent version that they have requested about 1 and half months ago????

.Please i need help.Thanks.4 years now in this visa process and i am now at ADJUSTMENT OF STATUS.GOD HELP....i need help..

Yes, the I-134 is used for the K-1 visa and the I-864 is used for AOS.

Key words > 'unless already submitted'

You do not need to fill out a new I-864 because you already submitted it, unless something has changed and you want to bring an updated form and income proof documents.

A new medical was not required if you filed for AOS within a year of your K-1 medical. However, you need to have had all the required vaccinations at the time of the K-1, marked off on a correctly filled out DS-3025.

Jay Kay, Thank u very much and you have been helpful to every visa journey applicant.. I have few other questions to ask u.On my letter that i received, the USCIS did not mark any of the checklist.I thought they have to mark the checklist that needed to be brought.Does it mean that,I didn't need to go with any documents because they didn't mark anything to shows to me that, those are what they needed. Thanks in advance.

No. the letter they send out is a blanket, general letter that they send to everyone. They do not mark off what each individual case needs to bring.

Take evidence of your marriage/relationship : Anything joint such as bank accounts, credit cards, lease/mortgage, insurance, IDs showing same address, photos, etc. Also take in the originals for the document copies you sent in such as marriage and birth certificates, in case they ask to see them. Have your most recent pay stub on hand too, just in case. Better to have something and not need it than to not have something and need it. Jay Kay,Thank u very much for all the help. Please help me with this again.I called the USCIS office asking them about if i need to again to another medicals and the lady who spoke to me made me totally confused. She said i need to do another vaccination supplement which i totally don't understand because i completed my medicals back in Ghana before i came here.I even did my medical twice because the first one that i did was expired after the US embassy in Ghana put my case in AP(Administrative Processing) for a year. They (US Embassy) then asked me to update my medicals which i did before the visa was issued to me. Now let me make my case simple for you Jay Kay.Did anyone have to receive a letter from the USCIS asking them to do the medical or vaccination supplement before coming to their interview? I mean like asking RFE in their letter to applicant.I am worried because i didn't receive any letter from USCIS asking for RFE to submit another medicals nor Vaccination supplement. Please help me as i need your help. Thanks in advance Jay Kay

If you did not get an RFE for vaccinations or a medical and asking you to see a civil surgeon for an I-693, then you are most likely fine there. The person you spoke with gave you misinformation. However, in a few cases people have been asked by the interviewing officer to get their vaccinations transcribed onto an I-693 before granting the green card. That is not the average outcome though. Typically you would not be asked for an I-693.

You definitely do not need a new medical if yours was done within a year of filing for AOS. If asked about vaccinations, you can tell them you had all the required vaccinations and the DS-3025 showing that should be in your file. Bring another copy of your DS-3025 with you to the interview too, just in case.
