Timeline

Bring the foreign birth certificate (necessary!). If you have all documents in place, CRBA will be completed in 30 minutes or less.

It's amazing how many questions can be resolved with a 2 minute Google search...

Yes; the local birth certificate is required with official translation if not in English. Interview is 30 minutes. The CRBA and passport are sent to you about 1-3 weeks after the interview. Check out my review on this but keep in mind this is specific to Vietnam.

Timeline

We just finished our CRBA process in the Philippines. Interview on Jan 17th 2014 in Manila. CRBA and Passport delivered to our home in Cebu on Feb 12.
