Any cheap ways around contacting the London Embassy

Called NVC option 3. Once again an incredibly rude agent. "I have listened to you, now you listen to me" was something he said, after I cut him off, because he gave me the non immigrant number to schedule an appointment. Anyway. Got through to his Team Leader, once again, Lovely lady, who was called Sylvia, she said there was no interview date scheduled for me, but they do have the information available to see when an interview is scheduled, and I asked if I call back, would I be able to check up on my status, to see if I get an interview date scheduled, and she said "Yes sir, we have that information available, and we would be able to tell you when you interview date." She also confirmed operators should be able to see the information, but perhaps not all know where to find the information just yet, but she said she would start telling her agents, as I told her she probably should since DOS are directing all their calls her way :).

So there you go, NVC, Option 3, if they don't give you the information, request to talk to a team leader or supervisor, i'm sure within a few days, they will start giving out the dates and information a little more freely when their supervisors start telling them what to do.

Great work. Thank you for reporting back on this!

Thanks so much for finding this out for us. I remember the guy at DOS telling me "NVC does that now, not us" when I mentioned that I was asking about a fiancé/K1. He told me to call or email. I did both and the lady on the phone at NVC yesteday told me to go ask London, so I guess after your call with the supervisor maybe the person who will reply to my email will know that they can get that interview info :P

Thanks again! :D

Just called again, option 3, and girl was happy enough to look up my case to see if I had an interview date scheduled (without protests, or me having to ask supervisor) (I do not have a date yet btw). But this seems like the new way to do it.

I don't know if anyone has ever tried this e-mail address, it's the one they used to contact me on when they scheduled me an interview. They said it was from the IV Branch and didn't say it was a private e-mail.

I requested on my readiness form that London e-mail me back with an interview date. They e-mailed me back with my interview date from that e-mail address at least a week before my letter came in the post.

As I recall, Queen submitted a request through the online form to have her fiancé added to the list as attending the interview. That's one of the choices. They confirmed via that email address that he could attend and as a side note mentioned the date. They don't routinely give out dates if that is the only reason you contact them.

If you call that contact number in the link, you will get the non-immigrant people (student and tourist visas) and they might give you all kinds of wrong information...like "I can scheduled your interview" because that is the process for those temp visitor visas not involving the immigrant visa unit.

My husband used the embassy contact form this afternoon, and AMAZINGLY, they responded 2 HOURS LATER. We do have an interview scheduled, for 20 Feb at 8am!!!!

Doesnt someone else on here have an interview that day?

Lucky him. I used it twice and it took 2 weeks to get an answer each time. Congrats on the date. So nice to have something concrete to plan around.
