Guangzhou Visa Approval to Visa Issuance Time

My fiancee had her interview in Guangzhou at the end of last year and was approved. She submitted her passport to get the visa - which according to the interviewer, would take 2-3 business days. It is now 5 weeks later and we are on AP....

Has anyone gone through Guangzhou recently and can share how long they had to wait from approval to visa issuance?

How long someone stays in AP varies greatly and there is no definitive answer.

i was interviewed march 24,2014 in guangzhou. And got approved... but the consular officer told me that i need to leave my passport. but i told them i cannot because i live and currently working in beijing so i need to bring back my passport with me. then she told me it's okey but you have to send back your passport here (in us consulate guangzhou). so when i arrived beijing, i went to china citic bank to send them back my passport. but until this moment, today is april 14, i still haven't received my passport back with visa stamp including the visa packet. i checked my visa status in ceac and it says ISSUED.. how long di i need to wait before i received my passport and visa packet? my chinese z visa is going to expire May 13, 2014... that's what i'm thinking right now.
