I would say just be calm and confident. Choose a language you are comfortable in, that's all.

Consular officers at the counters for both English and native language interviews at the Mumbai consulate (where I have been to for my interview) are very polite and courteous to all the applicants.

Documents we took for the interview:

Xerox of ALL documents that we submitted to NVC

2 Photographs

Sealed medical report

Photographs of our wedding, honeymoon and some photos from all trips of my husband to India (proof for bonafide relationship)

DS260 confirmation printout (which was stamped by the Visa Application Centre when I went for my biometrics)

Interview letter printout

Old and new passports (original)

In round one of the interview, all these documents are checked/collected. In the second round of interview, there are no documents asked.

Please check your local consulate requirements too.

Good luck!
