Hi Vjers!!!

I am so happy that my fiance already bought ticket to come here in March for my birthday :DDD*i turn into 21 this April and he wants to celebrate my bday together.

Anyway, he also wondering that if we can do any medical examination when he is here so he can pay for the exam and acompany me at the hospital. We were fill in our visa on December and already got the NOA1 (wish we could get our NOA2 this February). I heard that the exam expired in 6 months but...if we do on March or maybe April will that be ok?

Thoughts?

Please share what you think! Thank you :)

I don't think you can do medical without your case number. Most required case number which will be on your NOA2

I called the clinic right after I got the NOA2, and I got the same response -- wait until you get a letter from the embassy before you make a reservation. I'm not sure how it is for your clinic, but the lady I talked to assured me that I can always be squeezed in within the week I make my call.

As I understand, your K1 visa will expire six months after your medical. You can also waive your medical exam when applying for AOS, provided it's within 1 year of your K1 medical.

So basically yeah, it sounds prudent to plan to do the medical last.

you need your manila case number.

She is from Indonesia, so it has to be Jakarta number.

To the OP, remember not to go for medical exam until it is instructed by the Embassy to do so.

Because you will need your JAK# and the exam has validity.

The same thing applies for police clearance (if you have lived abroad for more than 6 months). At the moment, enjoy his visit and wait for the NOA2 for further instructions.

Good luck.

Your birthday is on April, if you get the NOA2 on March or April, of course you can do the medical (you need your case number to do it). But if on April you don't have it yet then you can't do the medical, when the time comes and your fiance is still want to pay for the medical he could send it to you (try MoneyGram).

Hi Blooms!

Thank you for your info. I had the discussion with my fiancee and we agree to have 2 options. If we have NOA2 in hand before he come here then we might just take the medical exam. Second option if we don't get the NOA2 yet, then he might just sent the money

and, thank you! :). We will enjoy it. This is his first 1 month holiday from work so we are really exciting!
