Entering the USA from Juarez by land with new visa

Once a visa was received, has anyone entered the USA via land from Juarez? What do you do?

It's polite to call ahead to the CBP port, to give them your approximate time of arrival and to ask if they'll have adequate staff available to process your entry.

If you're able to go a little south of Juarez, a small and relaxed port is at Caseta (into Fabens). Call ahead. Here's the link:

thanks!!! I called and they said that they really didn't need to know when he's coming, but the border guards were able to tell me when the best time to cross were... For example, not between 6 and 9 in the morning because that's when there are a lot of school buses crossing. and able to tell me the cost of a taxi from the crossing to the airport. So thank you! This is good to know -- I wouldn't have thought about the school buses, but it makes sense. This thread has proved to be mutually valuable, which is what VJ is optimally about! Let us all know how the crossing went, after it happens.
