i-864 Part 5 Household size?

I believe this is a fairly simple question, but I'm having a hard time understanding Part 5 of Form i-864. In Part 3 Line 7, I should put 1, right? Because I'm the principal immigrant he is sponsoring on Part 2? There are 3 of us in the household, my husband, me and his son. On Item 1, he will put 1 (because I'm the one he is sponsoring), But should I still place 1 on Item 3 because I'm also his spouse? Won't that count me twice?

Thank you so much for your understanding and help in our AOS journey. This forum has been a huge help to us.

hi

no, never put a person twice, every person is only counted once. the spouse is added only if the petitioner is filing for someone else other than spouse, for example child, parent, sibling, then to count the household size the spouse has to appear

but in this case he is filing for spouse, so you are on 1, then himself is already added, then put 1 for child, total sum 3

So, I'll just place 0 for spouse, since I'm already on 1. Thank you so much for clearing that up.
