How Soon Should I Receive Green Card On CR-3 Visa?

My had been in the US on CR-3 Visa for 10 days now! When should I expected the Green Card?

Do you mean a CR-1 visa for your spouse?

It can take up to three months to get the physical greencard, but you already have the "greencard"; the endorsement stamp on the visa page in the passport acts as a temp greencard for a year.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

Do you mean a CR-1 visa for your spouse?

If that's the case, why should people wait until they receive their "green card" before they start any activity? (school, work,...)

I need some clarification, pls.

They don;t have to.

Maybe you man the Social Security Card? Most employers etc will ant to have your SSN before allowing you to start work.
