I placed the pictures in these photo sleeves I found at Staples and both the ones for my husband and step-daughter's petition were returned. The letter says:

Dear Sir/Madam:

We are returning an item(s) you sent in support of your application/petition, as it is a format we cannot place in your file folder for review by an officer during the adjudication process.

If you have additional questions, you may call 1-800-375-5283 or visit http://www.uscis.gov

Thank you,

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services

It doesn't say anything about sending them in again, will I get an RFE for this later? Has this happened to anyone before?

I got mines back too...was in collage format on 8x11 sheet and they were returned back in May 2013 with same letter you received.

I got my approval in Dec 2013 without RFE for pictures so as long as you have other good evidence for bonifide relationship you should be ok.

I made a Microsoft publisher document with all my pictures...it allowed me to make notes beneath each photo. Then I printed them out on regular paper and submitted with my application.

That's a relief, thanks! I have this as secondary evidence as listed on my cover letter.

Copy of passport stamps showing trips taken to see beneficiary

Copy of joint credit cards and credit card statements
Money transfer receipts for spousal support
Copy of receipts for gifts purchased
Phone logs and explanation of phone number changes
Photos evidencing our relationship

I tried to print them on regular paper but the quality wasn't that good when they came out, maybe I should have sent those anyway, probably wouldn't have been sent back unsure.png
