Sealed I-693A from Civil Surgeon

Hi Everyone,

We sent David's vaccination records and DS-3025 to a CS in TX who transposed them to an I-693A and sent everything back to us. The I-693A, however, was not copied for us but it was put in a sealed envelope 'for immigration'.

Is USCIS expecting this document in a sealed envelope? I'd never heard anyone mention it. I'd like to make a copy of it before we mail it away...

It should remain sealed. If you'd like to have a copy, you can request it from a dr. that did this for you. I got a copy from them with no problem.

Our's was sealed too Jen. They taped it shut then the doctor signed across the tape so we couldn't break it. So that's how we mailed it....

10/07/2006 WEDDING DAY!

11/14/2006 AOS packet made it to 'the box' after being overnighted.

12/02/2006 Paul had biometrics

12/14/2006 AOS Forwarded to CSC AND AP Application approved.

01/17/2007 First touch of 2007 at CSC

01/20/2007 Touched AGAIN (also the 18th) come on...

February: Oops, RFE for a REGISTERED marriage certificate. Oops! Overnighted it.

02/28/2007 Paul gets email letting us know his GREENCARD is on it's way! It's done...for now!

03/09/2007 Paul's greencard arrives. And breathe...

We began with mailing the I-129 in on February 27, 2006 so the whole process took us approx. one year.

I believe the summplemental from the civil surgeon is suppose to be sealed by regulation for USCIS. The one we got for Claudeth was but the CS also made a copy for us.

We sent a copy and kept the sealed one for the interview. We had no problem about it. If I was doing it again I would probably send the sealed one as I really have no need for a copy of this document.
