ohh no when i read your post here about your interview experienced and see i missed somethingunsure.png i dont have cenomar of my fiance now im worried.my interview is on feb 3,but when i see his I 134 he put single even in his tax he croseed out single.

Hi Mi Amore!

The Cenomar thats on the attached pictures I posted is "Your Cenomar." In my experience, the USEM no longer asked for my fiance's CENOMAR, just mine. However, I also have a CENOMAR of my fiance that I got from NSO, because I just want to make sure that I have everything ready "just in case" they will ask for it, but in my case they didn't. The CFO lady did ask for it, but again, not the USEM (with my case).

If you want, you can try getting a CENOMAR for him, I think makakahabol ka pa. If di na, just remember that they did not ask me for one. =)

Do US Citizens have a CENOMAR (Certificate of No Marriage)??

Matter of fact, they DO NOT. This is what made me a bit irritated with the lady who conducted the seminar in CFO Cebu. I already showed her my fiance's CENOMAR, affidavit of legal capacity to marry and latest income tax returns that says he is single, but she is not satisfied with it, saying "They have a document/certificate just like our CENOMAR here. That is the United States of America, the Philippines has such certificate how much more the USA? They must have it." If what she is saying is true, then how come people from the USA do not know about such? Right?

So bottomline is, as what I have been through this journey, I have never seen a CENOMAR or any equivalent document with such nature that is from the USA.

Hi Majesticreature!

Congrats you are almost done smile.png

Can you please site some more questiones that were asked to you, like about your fiancee and all that?

Thanks! God bless!

Thanks!

Those were the only main questions that I can remember. There were followup questions like after the consul asked about his job, he then asked another question about his one specific source of income (for private reasons, I opt not to really quote the specific question asked, but it's all about the income)--so you really have to know where your fiance's money is coming from. Then I guess a trick question (just my opinion) where the consul would ask about your fiance's age again at the end of the interview like this: "Your fiance is x-year old right?" (He will give the wrong age and you have to correct him). That's just it.

The interview was so fast. Perhaps about 5 minutes total. I was just thankful that even though my interviewer looks strict and serious, he didn't fire me with a lot of mind-wrecking questions just like what I can hear from others. (You can hear some of the consuls questions if their booth is located near the waiting area).
