The timeline seems vague, we were married in November, submitted the AOS in early January, for wife and her 2 daughters, also submiitted EAD for all + request for travel for Navidad ( trip back to Colombia )

Have read it takes anywhere from 6 months to several years - thats a huge variance for the AOS to be approved.

It states the EAD should take about 120 days - is that accurate?

The AOS timeline is 6 to 12 months usually. They have a backlog for sure. You will get the EAD and AP within 3 months and that's the most important part. I know some AOS filers who had to renew the EAD because a year came up. It happens but a year is realistic. maybe sooner

It takes 60-90 days to receive EAD/AP after filing. It varies in time for the green card approval. If you get an interview, you will most likely get the green card faster. Some of those that have the interview waived are waiting a bit longer, such as 8+ months.

Agree with prior responses. EAD/AP approvals usually arrive within 90 days. A review of recent AOS progress forum threads would reveal that AOS approval times are all over the place. Some folks get an interview (usually faster route), the interview waiver folks can take a while longer. To add to this USCIS has even sent out notices about prolonged AOS processing times to some folks, some have posted comments about it.

Good luck, hope that your combo cards arrive promptly.

We have the biometrics appoinment Friday - only a few aweeks after submitting AOS and EAD paperwork, is this a good sign for a speedy AOS or just a normal thing?
