3 times updated

hi im new here. ..somebody can tell me if this can happen?..the nvc sent my case to the consulate dominican and visa status say case created 1/7 2014 update 1/9/2014 later update change to 1/15/2014 and now it change to 1/23/2014 how many times it have to change before i receive pack 3 or appoitment visa?

I am dominican my case was updated 4 Times before I received my interview date.

Mine was updated 21/11/2013, 27/11/2013, 12/12/2013 and the last 26/12/2013.

After that I received my interview date by e-mail.

E-mail the consulate to ask if you have your interview date:

santodomingovisas@state.gov

Here in dominican republic they dont send packet 3, only packet 4.

I got my interview date on december , I am waiting by my packet 4, my interview is for march 18.

thanks so much ilovemyman & sam444 for your responses...i called to the embassy of dominican republic and they told me they update the system frequently and the pack 3 doesn't have date to arrive ..it could be anytime. anyway in getting ready for the interview even though i dont have any idea when it will be. but is better to be ready and dont get nervous when it arrive

Packet 3 is internal for the embassy. They will send out packet 4 to you when they assign you a date. Packet 4 is your blue appointment letter, two green pages of instructions, then the white page ds156, and a white page of what not to bring to the consolate

my case was updated in jan 15 and then on Feb 12 and that day i called the NVC and they gave me our interview date so on Feb 13 they made another updated, dont know why... so good luck to everyone. ..

Any one knows why they are doing more updated after they schedule the interview?

Is the packet 4 in English or Spanish?

The principal letter is in both language, there is another letter with the instructions only in spanish and another letter with what no bring to the consulate is in both language.
