YES! --- so i just got off the phone with an operator at DOS and he said that our packet 3 was sent out on January 16th! What should we do now?! I'm sure my fiance is going to receive the packet any day now since it was sent over a week ago. What should we do now?! Should we create a profile on travel.state.gov? Does he do that or me?

thanks so muchhh!!! so excited!!!

Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

The receipt date from from first notice your case was received and started should be the priority date.

The receipt date from from first notice your case was received and started should be the priority date.

we have already pretty much filled out all the necessary info on the ustraveldocs website.

question 1:

Specify Documentation Delivery All returned documents will be sent to the address selected or entered below. If you select home or office delivery, someone must be present when the courier comes to deliver your passport. For timely delivery of documents, please ensure that all data is entered accurately. Pick Up

it won't let me select home or office delivery---it's making me choose a specific place to be delivered, HOWEVER my fiance's hometown (wenshan, yunnan) is not an option... cuz it's a very small place. Should I just choose a place in Guangzhou?

question 2: we haven't received p4 yet but i was reading darnell's shortcuts and it seems that if we go ahead and pay the fee then we can schedule the interview or will receive p4 more quickly. should we go ahead and try and pay the fee online? i know some people had problems getting it to work. do you think we should try?

when the fee is paid, and the ds-160 is filed,

the switch is turned ON

and it's possible to self-schedule.

can try paying online or at CITIC bank.

Question 1: I would pick the closest CITIC location to her. This is where she will pick up her passport package after she passes her interview. Just my two cents.

Question 2: Get the account and pay the fee. P4 comes as an email. Is sped it up for me, but no guarantees.

Hope it works for you too.

They can't mail the passport to the home address? It has to be mailed to a CITIC location?

After you paid the fee, did you schedule your interview?

Thanks for the link. Most of the stuff I have read, and the reason I'm asking you these questions is because the stuff I see you all saying is sometimes at odds with what's written on the CGIS website, for example:

"If the Consulate has not notified you that your case is ready to be scheduled, you will not be able to access this function through CGI Stanley." --you, however, have said that I can go ahead and schedule an interview once the fees are paid. Hence my confusion, apprehension, and question-posting....

fwiw - i need to rewrite the p3 shortcut.

I'm a thinking the new trigger for sending in a DS-160 confirmation page with the photos

is going to be 'casefile opened' timetick, for status, when calling into the DoS Hotline.
