This AP is Ridiculous

Initially I hadn't provided the original affidavit of support (I was trying to be cheap and scanned and e-mailed it to him)

But I sent it same day and received confirmation from FedEx and the consulate that it was received. Interview was 12/24 and bc of the holiday they received it 12/27. The CO told my fiance at time of interview that as soon as they get the original they will send him his passport and visa. I am a female naturalized citizen...originally from Jamaica.

Sounds to me that the document might not be in your file. Could be wrong. Call and ask if it is in their possession and that it is in your file. Or have congressman help with this.

I mean really. Approved at consulate. Why are we approved but yet not really approved. In most countries visa is issued the same day. For example Panama.

Ive been in AP for 15 months then received a call 2 months ago saying I was approved , yet no visa has been sent . The entire process is a nightmare .

Today is exactly a month since my fiance had his interview and still nothing. All they have to say is that the case is undergoing "administrative processing". Ugghhh!!

Geez... That's a mess. Haven't heard of waiting a month.

Totally agree! I thought my husband's visa will arrive in a week or two after his approval at the consulate but we are still waiting and we are in our 8th month of AP.
