Says fiance needs police clearance records (AGAIN?!?!? after the original being mailed with packet 3 and a copy presented at the interview) and a certificate of being single.

Where do you get the latter from? She has no idea, neither does anyone in her family.

I think the certificate of being single would come from the amphoe/amphur/district office correlating to her tabien bann, but you better confirm that with other forum members. As for the police clearance maybe someone is misplacing them in the bkk office; I had the same kind of problem. I recommend just getting a new one, and giving them both documents at the same time.

Same as they did for us. I suggest gathering the documents and emailing the IV unit and printing the response email telling you to bring them the documents and then hand delivering them. That seemed to work for us. I know the crushing feeling you must have now, but many people have passed this process, even if their requests seem odd.

You hand delivered it outside the embassy?

Is that allowed? Said on the 221g to register mail it along with the passport.

It was allowed because we had the printed email from the IV unit asking us to give the documents. But if you have specific instructions to mail it perhaps you should.

When we went through this in 2009 and got a 221g, they allowed us to submit the additional info they asked for in person between 13:00 and 15:30 on Mondays and Wednesdays. I was actually allowed in with her on those days unlike the interview. Not sure if that's still the case.

How did you find out about the results of your case?

Did they email you or you had to check the ceac.state.gov website with your case number?

Yeah the date says updated to Feb 06. Earlier it was January 24 (the date of the interview), but still administrative processing.
