sofyan makes almost as much as i do, and we have a joint account which we both throw all of our money into, and which we both have equal access to, so we never even paid attention to who puts more in, or who takes more out...

My husband isnt intimidated by me at all and has been nothing but a loving and supportive husband. I feel my successes in life couldnt be reached if it wasnt for his love and emotional support. Whatever I acomplish, hes always behind me :) I currently work full time and attend college full time and feel run down but he is always there to keep me going. He works now too so he can help me and plans to go back to school as well :)

It might be he just dont want to do a house chore thing and besides he is very tired to do that kind of stuff because he is the one who earn money for a living. maybe on week ends he can do some house work just speak to him openly that somehow he need to help you in a house chores thing.... if he thinks that way that you are his wife and partner in life not a MAID that to do all the house work.....

It's not that my husband is intimidated by my success, but right now he feels trapped that he isn't able to contribute. He helps the best he can around the house, but he is very anxious to get his green card so he can apply for his SS card and get a job. He gets so bored sitting all day in an empty house, with no knowledge of how to even get around the neighborhood for a change of air.

'Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Chardonnay in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming 'WOO HOO, What a Ride'

I don't think Hicham is intimidated in any way. He was working more hours than I am now so we both contribute(d) to our bank account. We don't compare who made more or anything like that.

I'll let you guys know when I have money and success.

:lol:

:lol::lol::lol::lol:

I'll take back all that I said in my earlier post and agree with Jenn! :lol:

He very well could be doing all that he is doing for other reasons; he sees that I will never be successful or make enough money so he is wanting to work ASAP and I am a much worse housekeeper and cook than I thought I was so he feels that he might as well do it himself. That puts a whole new perspective on what I'm seeing. :unsure::P

I may very well get home tonight and find him still in bed and he did all of the above for the first 3 weeks because he wanted to make a great first impression. :o

i had quite the reply to this (and nothing to the negative against you , i promise)... but i just don't wanna bring the thread down.... i will say that mine started out the same way......... it was great until it started to unfold........

oh yeah..to reply to the initial topic... nah, he's not intimidated by my career.... he does wish he could have his name on our house and he sure would like to have his own car... it took about a year but he finally came to the realization of how hard money is to get here and you can't just up and buy stuff by the seat of your pants....u have to "save"..... He is very proud of my success and tells everybody about what I do. He hates his job and wishes he could get a more respectful (or at least better paying) job so he's kinda bummed about that. We are hoping that he will get some more business with his small business advertising company here in our area so we don't have to move... All-in-all I can't complain.
