Do I need a baptism certificate for my K1 visa interview?

I read somewhere it is a requirement. If so, this is my situation. My first name was different when I was baptized as a Catholic. Will that affect my application?

I am only speaking from my experience. The only time I have ever heard of making use of a baptism certificate is when an issue came up about the birth certificate. Different name, name spellings, a question of birth date. You might want to have it with you if asked for. Take the real document and a copy of it. If it is needed the copy should be sufficient and not have the original document taken from you.
