I just checked our case status on the uscis website and today it says they are sending me an RFE.

i just want to ask... What have been the usual RFE's they would request.??

I just like to have an idea of what to expect.

Could be a missing form/document, a missing signature/answer on the form, missing photo/s or lacking evidence of meeting/existing relationship.

Thoroughly examine that copy of the entire petition you sent to them and discover where you erred.

There have been cases where USCIS simply lost a document (they won't say that) and you have to resend it.

Phil (Lockport, near Chicago) and Alla (Lobnya, near Moscow)

As of Dec 7, 2009, now Zero miles apart (literally)!

Mine was proof of bona fide marriage sent in a bunch of photo's money transfers etc good news is there working on your case my RFE once received went real fast

It could be anything, something simpler. You will not know until the petitioner receives the letter.

21 Aug 2013: I-129F Sent

11 Feb 2014: Visa APPROVED!

20 May 2014: Wedding!

There have been cases where USCIS simply lost a document (they won't say that) and you have to resend it.

This is probably the best way to "guess" what your RFE might be until you actually receive it. Double check your entire petition you sent them, and compare it to the K-1 guide here. Did you include all the forms? Compare the forms you filled out with the example forms. Did you accidentally leave a question blank? All you can really do is look over what you already have. And wait.

NOA1: 04/08/2014; NOA2: 04/21/2014; Visa interview, approved: 07/15/2014; POE: 07/25/2014; Marriage: 09/05/2014

They will be requesting whatever it is you forgot to include/sign/check a box . A letter will be following with detailed instructions

Interview Rescheduled 10/17/2014: (embassy moving at lightning speed)!

The GOOD NEWS, they looked at your application!

I received a RFE for not having a long version of my birth certificate. The short form I sent did not have my parents name on the certificate. It was an easy fix with making a copy of my passport and sending it to CSC. The instructions were very clear and easy to follow.

June 11 - "Welcome to America" letter received!!!!!! WE WENT GREEN!
March 10 - Packet sent to CSC
March 13 - Delivered
March 15 - Check Cashed
March 17 - NOA Arrived
